Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 29 August 2026
Accessibility here is treated as something worth doing, not a box to tick. Adjustments were made across the site, and the test results - including what was not tested - are set out below.
What was done
- Full keyboard navigation, with a clear gold focus indicator on every link and button.
- A 'skip to main content' link at the top of every page, revealed on keyboard focus.
- Colour contrast at AA level (4.5:1 or better) for all text. A darker gold was defined specifically for text on light backgrounds.
- Alt text on every image.
- Correct heading hierarchy and landmark regions (main, nav).
- The language switch updates the document language and direction, and its accessible name says which language it switches to.
- Reduced-motion preference is honoured: animations are disabled for users who ask for that in their operating system.
- Both languages are fully available, including these policy pages.
What has not been tested - stated honestly
Automated testing covers only part of the accessibility requirements. The following have not been done, and so we do not claim full conformance: testing with an actual screen reader (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver); a full manual keyboard walkthrough of every scenario; review by a certified accessibility professional; and usability testing with disabled users.
Accordingly: the site applies adjustments in the spirit of WCAG 2.1 level AA, which is the basis for Israeli standard 5568 - but we do not state that the site 'conforms to the standard', because that determination requires a certified accessibility professional.
Found a problem?
If anything on the site was hard to use, we would like to hear about it and fix it - that is the most effective way to improve it.
